The warmest soft-shell pant in Untamed Arctic's essential collection, the men's Arctic MX is prepared for any weather. Stretchy, breathable, weather-shedding fabric tackles mixed routes, epic tours and more.

What set's our pants apart from the rest is the fabric technology. The outer is made of a polyester polymer which is wind and waterproof, yet is breathable and sweat wicking. The inner is lined with an ultra soft antimicrobial microfleece which wicks sweat away, allowing it to pass through the polymer outer layer. This dual process works together to perfectly regulate your temperature regardless of what's happening outside.

The Arctic MX mens pants are designed to keep you warm and dry through the harshest mountain conditions, yet are comfortable enough to be an everyday hiking pant due to their temperature regulating technology.

I can not give these pants enough stars. They extremely high quality and have stood up to the abuse I have given them for two years now. They have just the right amount of insulation to allow me to wear them for Fall, Winter, and Spring while wearing thermal underwear when it gets really cold underneath. The articulated knees allow me to climb with no restriction. They are waterproof and the zippers are bone dry tight. Aside from the great technical specs, they just look cool. I originally purchased them in brown and then got them in blue, as well. They look, feel, fit, and perform superbly. I would give them more stars if I could. I absolutely would recommend these pants!

Comfortable enough to wear on a walk without overheating. Wicks away light and heavy rain, dries quickly after being submerged in water. Temperature regulation is good enough to support a wide temperature range while still providing protection from moderate wind. Durability seems to be solid, with no detectable burrs or marks from bushwhacking through thorn bushes and deadfall. I'm very impressed with the low end versatility of the pant - at the low end of technical activities - it's more adept to above freezing hiking and lounging around than I would expect for a pant designed for more hostile environments. Going forward I plan to use these with a thin to moderate base layer & packed shell for complete lower body protection. The moisture regulation of the material is reliable enough that I don't anticipate needing another primary layer on mild days or cold days when very active. Sustained rain or snow probably should be met with a w/b shell, but in the majority of situations ranging from fall through spring these should do quite well.

Over all well designed pants. I've had mine for over a year and the material is holding up well. Due to the insulation I only wear these in the colder months Nov- Mar. I do recommend.

I have these pants now for almost four months and used them for skiing tours, cross country skiing, hiking and (ice)climbing. When on the move their warm enough by themselves 'till minus 10 degress celsius. If the temperature falls below that, it's to time put on the long underwear. At the same time these pants do not feel to hot, when hiking at 15 degress plus celsius. It hasn't been warmer than that. So I don't know when they'll actually will be to warm. So the temperature range is quite impressive. They are very wind resistant, but not wind closed. That helps to prevent you from overheating and sweating. The material seems really tough. They don't have a scar yet, even though I brush rock and hard ice with them quite a bit. On top of that they're impressively water resistant. I stayed completely dry in them on a two hour long descent in a constant rain and hail storm. At the end, the outer material shows a couple of wet spots, but none of it soaked through. I highly recommend them for fall, winter and cold spring days.

regular length is way too long! the waist is nice, the pockets are well sized, the DWR held up well to above freezing temperatures climbing up a route plastered with wet snow.

I wear these pants year round and have had them for 14 months. I wear them to work, hiking (city or wilderness), dining and out & about. I've spilled food and it comes off with a damp cloth. Liquids bead up and roll off. I wear the same pants everyday; I just change shirts. I wear these pants like they were jeans and they are "more" durable than jean material. I do not own an iron, and yet all of my clothes look as though they are pressed. I get a seamstress to adjust the length.

I have been wearing this Item since it was made in Canada. Great pant; I wear them on horse hunting trips and they are very comfortable getting in the saddle and while riding. They do tend to snag on any protruding buckles so one has to be careful while mounting and dismounting. Warm, water resistant and quiet. My first pair lasted ten years with an average of 300 walking miles a year .They are pretty trashed but I love them. (Made In CANADA) back then.

These are amazing pants work very well for skiing with another layer and hiking just as is. They are three season pants except summer when they are too warm. My current pair are several years old made with Polartec and they are still perfect shape. No sure if they are using Polartec yet. They are water resistant and breathable. I am 6 ft, 230 and I wear a X-large and they fit perfect. I have 36 waist and 30 inseam and they fit perfectly. The zipper front top pockets and zipper back pockets are perfect.

This is the perfect winter softshell. The balance of wind protection, breathability, and water/snow resistacne is outstanding. Warn while hiking and snowshoeing in the Bavarian Alps, and while x- country skiing in Michigan makes evident the moisture management abilities. Moderate Rain and Snow did not have me reaching for my hardshell. Fit is outstanding, I'm 5'11" @ 170lbs with a 32" waist and 34" inseam and the Medium Regular fits perfect. Worn alone or with a base layer, the movement is totally unrestricted.
